Dale Jenssen Originals
Dale's artistic journey has been long and varied, encompassing ceramic sculpture, plastic jewelry design, found-metal sculpture, and sheet-metal lighting. After nearly two decades of creating sconces and hanging lamps, she grew tired of the grit and cuts that came with the work and has happily returned to her first love: garment making.
Her current line features pieces made from a wide range of textiles—many pulled from her personal stash and many thoughtfully repurposed. She has a special fondness for upholstery remnants and ethnic fabrics. Dale delights in combining materials that others might never pair, using stamping, stenciling, or sponging with textile paints to make each garment truly sing. She often embellishes her creations with distinctive trims and vintage buttons.
Dale is available to teach surface-design classes and will have an article appearing in the spring issue of Threads magazine.
